William Chenoweth, who resided west of Perrysville, in Highland Township, died of Bright's disease of the kidneys at about 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening, November 22, 1892. He had been in poor health for some time, but was able to go around until a week or 10 days before his death. He was born in Vigo County, IN, in February 1824, and moved to this county in 1828, where he had lived ever since. Had he lived until next February, he would have been 69 years of age. In September 1848 he was united in marriage to Fariba Craig. He leaves a divorced wife, and 3 grown children - 2 boys and one daughter. His daughter is married and lives in Denver, CO. She came back to attend the funeral which occurred on Thursday last, the remains being interred in the M.E. Cemetery, south of Perrysville. Rev. W.R. Rippetoe, pastor of the M.E. Church, officiated at the cemetery. He leaves an estate of 500 or 600 acres to be divided between his 3 children. He was a man everyone respected.
