She was born Oct. 12, 1948, in Carmel, to George L. and Dena Pugh.
Mrs. Coers was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a graduate of the Indiana School for Deaf and Blind.
Surviving are four children, Gloria A. Coers, of Norfolk, Va., Lorne E. L. Coers, of Kewanna, Christopher R. Coers, of Kewanna, and Josef V. Coers, of Norfolk, Va.; four grandchildren, Rhapsody Coers, Nathaniel Winters Coers, Matthew Coers, and Michael Coers; two sisters, Phyllis O'Neal, of Winamac, and Beverly Pugh, of Georgia; and two brothers, David Pugh, of Winamac, and Daniel Pugh, of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Everett Coers; and one brother, Jerry Pugh.
Services entrusted to Feller & Clark Funeral Home. Burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Winamac.
