Alvin R. Botteron, 73, of Fort Wayne, died at 12:10 p.m. yesterday at Lutheran Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks.
Mr. Botteron, a native of Allen County, retired from Pennsylvaia Railroad in 1940.
Surviving are a son Robert, RR2, Grabill; two daughters Mrs. Helen Porter, Kinglsey, MI, and Mrs. Florence Collins, C***, ILL.; three brothers, Clarence, East Chicago; Frank, Madison, and George , Wood River, ILL.; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Grover and Mrs. Nellie Bonjour, both of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Oetting Funeral Home, Harlan, with John Bowles officiating. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
