Longtime Westwood resident Liselotte Anderson passed from this life peacefully Monday, Sept. 1, 2008 at Enloe Medical Center, in Chico, Calif.
Born in Mannheim, Germany on Dec. 20, 1936, she immigrated to the United States at the young age of 18. Liselotte first settled in the south before moving to San Francisco and then Westwood some 30 years ago.
Liselotte was a passionate animal rights advocate and enjoyed taking in any animal in need. She was respected in the community for her time and expertise in nursing strays back to health and finding caring homes for the animals.
In Liselotte's passing, she leaves her loving companion Lloyd Taylor of Westwood, Calif., brother Klous Gabberdeale, sisters; Irngard Gabberdeal, aunt; Anita Korner and niece; Gerlinda Hann, all of Germany.
A celebration of Liselotte's life will take place at the Ginn Mill, located in the mining town of Seneca, Calif., Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 from 1-5 p.m.
Inurnment will take place in the Westwood Cemetery at a later date.
