Gerald H. Bayless, 81, Bloomingdale, died 3:24 pm Monday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Bayless was a retired farmer and bus driver for Turkey Run School District where he drove for 37 years. He attended the Coloma Friends Church. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was born May 9, 1919, at Wallace, to Jesse and Goldie Bowman Bayless. He married Zona Gale Harvey Bayless. She died Oct. 10, 1988.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas, Bloomingdale, Kenny, Terra Haute; a daughter, Linda Heims, Brookston; a sister, Mary Harriman, Wallace; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Clara Crowder, and a grandson, Kevin Bayless, are deceased.
Services are 2 pm Thursday at Barnes Mortuary, Rockville, with the Rev. William Flanigan officiating. Burial will be at Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday.
