Mrs. Alice Batson Claimed By Death

Death Occurs At Home Of Son In Jackson And Funeral Tuesday

Mrs. Alice Batson, 83, died at the home of her son, Henry Batson, four miles southeast of Warren, at 8 o'clock Saturday evening, following an extended illness from dropsy.

Mrs. Batson was born on Nov. 5, 1847m a daughter of Madison and Margaret Cloud Jones. She was 83 years, 11 months and 28 days of age at the time of her death. Her husband, Benjamin Batson, died on Sept. 12, 1921.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Alice Dawson, Montpelier, and Henry Batson, Jefferson township. One son, James, is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Sugar Grove church in charge of Rev. C.H. Slusher. Burial will be made in the Batson cemetery.
