Aleta Louise Tschetter Bears, 51, Gillette, Wyoming, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 2005, at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance with Chaplain Ralph Reed officiating. Burial followed at Miller Creek Cemetery, rural Crook County, Wyoming. Fellowship followed at Beard Bible Camp.
Aleta was born June 22, 1953, to Albert and Elsie (Ames) Tschetter in Gillette, Wyoming. She was raised in rural Crook County, Wyoming, and graduated from Moorcroft HIgh School in 1971. She married Samson Bears June 30, 1972 in Sundance, Wyoming. The couple lived in Hulett, Wyoming. After they divorced, she attended Casper Community College, earning a Registered Nursing degree in 1981. She then moved to Gillette with Patrick where she worked as a night nurse for 22 years. In November of 2004, she moved to Englewood, Colorado to live with her sister, Sheila Gaye Duvall.
Aleta loved spending time with her entire family, especially her son, Patrick, and his family. She had a special relationship with her mother, Elsie. She enjoyed quilting, and over the course of the years made quilts for numerous family members, friends, and acquaintances. She took great pleasure in taking road trips with friends and family. She also enjoyed fishing and flower and vegetable gardens.
Survivors include her son, Patrick (and Danielle) Bears and grandchildren, Jonas and Allyson of Spokane, Washington; her mother, Elsie Tschetter of rural Crook County, Wyoming; two sisters, Penny (and Arnie) Altaffer of Casper, Wyoming, and Sheila Gaye Duvall of Englewood, Colorado; two brothers, Dan (and Pat) Tschetter of Moorcroft, Wyoming, and Joe (and Nelda) Tschetter in the US Navy in Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Aleta was preceded in death by her father, Albert Tschetter and two brothers, Paul David Tschetter and an infant brother Donovan.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a dear, kind, gentle spirit. Aleta will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
