Joseph Pendleton Alexander was born February 15, 1895 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He first came to Wyoming in 1915.
He served in the United State Navy in World War I and later married in September, 1923 to Beatrice Elaine Runnion who preceded him in death.
Survivors were one son, Warren Alexander of Great Falls, Montana; one daughter, Iris Ditzler of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Hugh Alexander of Douglas, Wyoming; three sisters, Lottie Brown of Littleton, Colorado; Alo Alexander of Denver, Colorado; and Anna Walker of Strasburg, Colorado. He was also survived by seven grandsons; Joseph Alexander, Barton Alexander, Glenn Alexander, Michael Ditzler, Stephen Ditzler, David Ditzler and Dan Ditzler.
