Benjamin Norman Alexander was born in Well Hollow, North Carolina on January 6, 1874; the son of Pendleton Alexander and Emily Nicholson.
The greater part of his life was spent in North and South Carolina. He lived a few years in Colorado and spent the last eleven years of his life in quiet retirement in Douglas, Wyoming.
He married Martha Anna Porter.
He passed away September 21, 1948 at his home in Douglas. He was survived by his wife, six children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His surviving children were J. P. Alexander, Walter Alexander, Mrs. Hugh Alexander, Miss Alo Alexander, Mrs. Herman Brown and Mrs. Alva Walker.
