Lydia M. Aman, 91, died March 30, 2004, at Powell Valley Healthcare Center.
She was born Oct. 18, 1912, in Ellendale, N.D., to Fred and Pauline Schumacher Fetzer.
She married Balthasar Aman on March 7, 1931, in Ipswich, S.D. In 1956, the family moved to Powell. Mr. Aman died July 1, 1968.
She was employed by Cream of the Valley Dairy for more than 22 years and served in many areas of the dairy business during the processing, pasteurization and packaging of dairy products.
Mrs. Aman loved to crochet and garden. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Two years ago she moved into the Heartland Assisted Living Complex and enjoyed her new surroundings.
She is survived by her daughter Della (Clifford) Reidt of Powell, grandchildren Richelle Fowler, Jill Barber, Craig Reidt, Linden Reidt, Fay Reidt and Craig Aman, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Darvie Aman and Orlo Aman, brothers Fred Fetzer and Wilbur Fetzer and sister Adelia Haack.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home in Powell. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Powell with Pastor Donald Rieman officiating.
Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
