Ruby C. Abbott, 91, died Friday at Eventide of Sheridan.
Born June 25, 1897, in Hartington, Neb., to August and Lena Krause, she grew up in Nebraska and earned a nursing degree from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, Neb. She worked at Virgis Sanitarium in Norfolk, Neb., becoming Superintendent of Nursing.
She came to Sheridan in 1922 and married Bert Abbott on Jan. 1, 1923. They ranched in this area until retiring in 1941. Mr. Abbott died in 1959.
She married Frank Kaiser in 196?. He died in 196?.
She was a member of Church of the Nazarene and Farmers Union. A church organist for 22 years, she also played for weddings and funerals.
In addition to her husbands, a brother also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilberta Lee Jacobson, Freeland, Wash.; two grandsons; and two step-grandchildren.
Services are 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ferries Funeral Home, the Rev. George Snyder officiating, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Big Horn.
