Funeral Services Held For Mrs Christina Baley
Funeral services for Mrs Christina (Grandma) Baley, mother of Mrs C.A. Sperl of Afton and Mrs Oliver J. Ames formerly of Afton, were held Aug 29 at Jackson Wyoming in the St John's Episcopal Church. She passed away Thursday night, Aug 26 in her sleep peacefully.
All of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with the exception of her grandson Arthur Sperl, who is now in the service in Japan, were present to pay their last respects to a mother and grandmother whom the all loved and revered.
"Grandma" Baley was born in Austria-Hungary on July 24 1887 and came to the United States in December 1907, with her husband and three children. She lived in Illinois until 1928 when the family moved to Jackson where she has resided for 26 years.
Surviving are her three children Mrs Carl Sperl, Mr Gus Baley and Mrs Oliver Ames, seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
