Leila Tower (Lee) Acorn passed away February 11, 2012, at Lake of the Pines, Auburn.
She was born November 6, 1921, in Alameda. She graduated from San Francisco State University. She lived many years in Albany and moved to Lake of the Pines upon retirement from Pacific Bell as a customer service representative and supervisor.
She lived over thirty-three years at LOP and was a founding member and past-president of the Firebelles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold (Bud); her son, Scott; and her sister, Betty. She is survived by five nephews: William, Joseph, James, Sean and Christopher; and three nieces: Cornelia, Donna and Carol; and many grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
There will be no services at her request. She is buried at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito with her husband and son. Memorial contributions may be made to AnimalSave, PO Box 817, Grass Valley, CA 95945 in her name.
