Born April 7, 1920 in Harriman, TN. Passed away October 11, 2005 in Carmichael, CA. Preceded in death by parents Lena & Joseph Bailey, brothers Ralph & J.C. Bailey, first husband of 30yrs Eugene H. Byrd, companion and spouse of 25yrs William F. Aikman. Survived by children Louise Winters of Folsom, Helen Davis of Reno, and Ray Byrd of Washington State; 8 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren, brother Arnold Bailey, sister Louise Smith of Indiana, sister-in-laws Shirley Bailey of TN & Margaret Bailey. She was a Obstetrical Support Nurse for USAF (Civil Services) for 13yrs., also a nurse for Veterans Hospital's Reno and San Francisco. After retirement Bill & Pauline traveled extensively all over the world, including a once in a lifetime opportunity, when the Concord came to the Sacramento Airport for Paris with return on QE2. Pauline was a fun, vivacious, generous person, loved by all who knew her. Her last years were very difficult due to Alzheimer's but her tenacity and beautiful sweet personality still prevailed. Private services were held at East Lawn Sierra Hills.
