Rolland, sometimes known as "Mike", was born October 18, 1922 in Ada, Minnesota, the son of Fred and Mabel (Conzemius) Allrich. He attended school at Ada. Rolland enlisted m the United States Air Force in October of 1943. He served as Staff Sergeant for the 462nd Bombardment Squadron. Rolland was honorably discharged in April of 1946.
Rolland was united in marriage to Alice Hove, on October 19, 1946, in Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN. He worked for a short time at Land 0' Lakes Drying Plant in Ada. In 1947 he began working for Red River Valley Co-op Power Association in Halstad, as a Lineman and later as Line Superintendent. Rolland retired in 1984, after more than 37 years with the Co-op. He was a member of Halstad Lutheran Church, Ada VFW Post 7557, and the Halstad American Legion Post. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and spending time at Elkhom Resort on South Twin Lake, near Waubun, MN.
Rolland is survived by his wife, Alice; three sons, Raymond (Vicki Just), Myron (Jean), and Allan (Nancy); five grandchildren, Barbara Jean Lingen, Christopher Allrich, Brian Allrich, Kristen Kay Hanson, and Benjamin Allrich; two great-grandchildren, Annika Kay Hanson and Hunter Rolland Allrich; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Clifford, and one sister Esther Stene.
