Rudy Briks of rural Breckenridge passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1 at St. Francis Hospital, where he had been a patient the past few weeks.
Rudolph J. Briks was born April 11, 1906 at Rothsay and grew to manhood in Manston township.
On Feb. 17, 1931 he was married to Grace Getz of Wolverton. After their marriage they made their home on a farm near Rothsay and in 1941 moved to Connolly township. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and St. Emlins Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Breckenridge.
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters and three sons: Darlene, Margie, Shirley and Beverly, Donald, James & Jerry all at home. Six sisters also survive.
He was preceded by his parents, John and Carrie Briks and one brother.
Mr. Briks was very well known in the community and, had a large number of friends. His main interest were his family, farm and Church.
A Solemn High Mass will be held this (Thursday) morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's Church at Brushvale with Rev. Fr. Henry Fehrenbacher, Celebrant; Rev. Fr. Sirverius Schmitt, Deacon and Rev. Father Frederick Kampsen, Sub-Deacon.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George and Robert Schuler, Henry Schranck, G. S. Bergland, Frank Wahldieck and Lowell Schrieber.
