On July 19, 2009, Jennine passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her many loved ones after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Born September 14, 1956 in Red Bluff, Jennine was the third child of Joseph and Elaine Golonka.

During her childhood and teen years the family relocated several times throughout California. She graduated from Fresno High in 1973. Jennine returned to Northern California to join the work force in 1974, finding the way back to her Tehama County roots in the early 80's. Jennine met her husband Jim in Red Bluff in 1981, and they were married in 1983.

Originally starting their married life in Vina, the couple moved to Corning in 1985 and then built their current home in Red Bluff in 1991. Through the years, Jennine worked as a Medical Assistant and eventually full time as a mother.

Of all the things that mattered to Jennine, most important was her family. She could never send them off to start their day without a little kiss and a soft "I love you".

She is survived by her husband Jim, and their four beautiful children, Justin 24, Matthew 22, Kristi 18 and April 15.

Her children brought her enormous pride and joy. Jennine attended countless sporting events and volunteered for activities that her children were a part of, devoting her life to their happiness. In recent years, she also found solace as a volunteer at the "Lord's Table", the community food program.

Jennine had a vibrant spirit that was unmatched and she could light up a room with her laughter and smile. There was no place she would rather be than with family and friends, especially entertaining at home by the pool. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend, Jennine will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her parents, Joseph and Elaine Golonka, mother-in-law, Jeanne Allwardt, brother David Golonka (sister-in-law Teresa); sister Ann Calista (brother-in-law Mike); sister Mari Jo Ellis (brother-in-law Craig); brother-in-law Jeff Allwardt; sister-in-law Joyce O'Shea and sister-in-law Joan Bass. She was a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and she will always have a special place in their hearts. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jennine was steadfast in her belief that she would find peace in heaven, and knew that one day her family will be reunited in a much better place.

Services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Bluff. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 7PM and a Memorial mass on Wednesday, July 29 at 10AM. Graveside services will follow immediately at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sacred Heart Parish School.
