William Louis Bradshaw was born September 15th 1957 in Virginia. He is the third born child of Richard F Bradshaw, born 1824 and Sarah E Porter, born in 1823. His siblings are Laura Bradshaw born 1849 in Virginia, Richard D Bradshaw, born 1850 in Virginia, Rosa Jane born 1860 in Tennessee and Demetra C, born in Tennessee, in 1867. William went with his family before 1860 to Memphis Tennessee, traveling through the Cumberland gap. His father died and is buried in Tennessee, in 1886. His mother Sarah and his sisters Rosa Jane and Mattie traveled by ox cart before 1870 to Mankato, Minnesota. In 1870 his mother, sisters and him are living in the home of Dexter Thayer and his mother is keeping house for him. In 1877 on May 30th, William marries Alice Josephine Shaw, born in 1858 in Illinois. On August 15, 1878, Richard Francis Bradshaw is born in Mankato Minnesota. On August 23rd 1880, in Mankato Minnesota Richard and Sarah are parents to their second child William Raymond Bradshaw. In 1880, William is a farmer in Mankato, Minnesota. On September 16, 1886 in Blue Earth, Minnesota, Nellie Mae Bradshaw is born. June 16th 1890, William's first wife, Alice passes away from tuberculosis, in Mankato. William continues to farm and raising three children on the farm and on June 14th 1892, William marries Anna M Kock, born 1868 in Wisconsin. In 1900, William is a traveling salesman in Mankato, Minnesota and he is living with Anna, Richard, William Ray and daughter Nellie. In 1910, William continues his trade as a traveling sales agent. In 1920 he is living jn Mankato, with his wife Anna, and grandson Loius who is attending school, at age 15, and he continues as a Travels salesman. In 1930, at the age of 61, William is working for an oil company as a service attendant and is living with Anna in Mankato. On May 25, 1939, his second wife, Anna, passes away in Mankato. 1940, he is residing route 1, in Rapidan with his daughter Nellie Mae Wasson Bradshaw and her husband Arthur Wasson. William Bradshaw, passes away on January 8, 1941 in the home of his daughter, Nellie Wasson in Mankato, Minnesota. He is buried at St John Cemetery, St Clair, Minnesota.
