Alvina Crowley was born on July 11, 1920 in Iona, Minnesota to Joseph and Elizabeth Hoffman Disch.
She grew up in Iona and graduated from St. Columba High School in 1937.

On August 26, 1940 she and Clem Crowley were married at St. Columba Church in Iona. Following their marriage they made their home in Iona and Alvina worked as a telephone operator until 1942.

Clem passed away on March 23, 1960.

In 1962 Alvina went to work at the Stoderl Brothers Cream Station in Iona. In 1964 she began working at the Slayton Clinic. Alvina remained there until she retired in 1985. In March 2015 Alvina moved to Heritage Point in Marshall, MN.

Alvina passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Murray County Medical Center in Slayton at the age of 94. She was a member of St. Columba Church where she served as bookkeeper for 11 years. Alvina enjoyed spending time with family, working on her yard and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clem, son, Neal “Vern” Crowley, and seven brothers and sisters, Gordon Disch, Viola Laird, Armella Kellen, Rita McDonald, Joe Disch, Gene Disch, and John Disch.

Funeral Services
St. Columba Church in Iona, MN on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Gregory Parrott officiating. The organist is Sharon Lais. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. The pallbearers are Mike Lorenzen, Mark Crowley, Kyle Raph, Sean Albertson, Josh Crowley and John Crowley. Interment is at St. Columba Cemetery in Iona, MN.
