Bernice Hartmann, 73, of Waubun, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at her home.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Waubun with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home, Mahnomen, and one hour before services at the church. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Howard of Waubun; sons, Martin and wife, Gayle of Walker, Allen and wife, Belva of Homedale, Idaho; daughters, Rose and husband, Robert Spladrich of Climax, Minnie and husband, DuWayne Thompson of Crookston; brother, Alfred of Deerwood; sister, Alice Marstone of Hanska; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Molly, and a grandson, Andy.
Bernice Irene Hindermann was born April 8, 1927, on a farm in Nicollet County, near New Ulm, to Harry and Clara (Hogan) Hindermann. As a young woman, she moved into New Ulm, where she worked as a housekeeper. On April 20, 1948, she married Howard Hartmann in New Ulm. They lived on a farm in the area. They moved to the Waubun community in 1952, and have lived there since.
