Adelaide Ruth (Dahlstrom) Campbell, 87, Oslo, MN, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, joined loved ones in heaven on Monday, February 21, 2005, when she passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Adelaide was born August 4, 1917 in Oslo, MN, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Pehrsson) Dahlstrom. She grew up in Oslo, attended school there and graduated from Oslo High School in 1934.

Adelaide attended Teachers Training in East Grand Forks, MN and taught for a year at a country school near Middle River, MN. She married Maxwell Campbell in December of 1936, with whom she recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.

Come rain, sleet or snow for over 20 years, Adelaide and her daughter, Maxine, made the trip every Tuesday to bowl in a league in Grand Forks. She was a fan of many sports, including tennis and golf, but was mostly a die-hard Vikings and Twins fan, and rarely missed watching a game. Her other favorite past-times were doing crossword puzzles, playing the children's requests on her organ, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Every day spent with Adelaide is now a cherished memory and her sweet smile, laughter, and ever-ready hug will be missed by all, including her children, Kathleen (Grahame) Sanders, Maxine (Jim) Bushaw, Thomas (Kay), and Daniel (Patty); her twelve grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Myrtle) Dahlstrom; sisters, Esther Hansen and Audrey (Fred) Nordstrom; nine nieces and eight nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max on February 11, 2005; her son, James (Bud); her parents; sisters, Bernice Vettrus and Lucille Dahlstrom and her step-grandchild, David Campbell.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2005 in Zion Lutheran Church, Oslo, MN.

Visitation: 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in Zion Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday.

Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Oslo, MN
