Dora was united in marriage with John E Addison in 1890 and ten years later came to Fulda and located on a farm southwest of town; later they lived on a farm east of Lime Creek before coming to Fulda to operate the bakery. Mr. Addison died in August of 1936 and she continued to operate the business until her health failed a number of years ago. For the past three years her health has been such as to require special attention, and she has been cared for at the home of Mrs. Herve Jones at Lake Wilson. In the years there she has been seriously ill several times. In March of this year she had been quite ill with pneumonia, and when she suffered a stroke while convalescing, she was taken to the Slayton hospital where she peacefully slept away.
Dora was a member of the Presbyterian Church and of the Rural Progressive Club, and of the Royal Neighbor Lodge, in all of which organizations she was a loyal and faithful worker.
Mr. and Mrs. Addison were the parents of two children, a daughter, Lorna (Mrs. Kenneth Coles) who passed away five years ago and a son, Dallas Addison of Winthrop, Mass. Dallas came west by plane to arrive here as quickly as possible. Doris is also survivied by 2 grandchildren, Donald and Marjorie Coles.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday with the Rev. J.M. Butler officiating.
