Nancy L. Piper Amundson, 66, Sarasota, and Lake Vermilion, Minn., died Jan. 20, 2004, at her home in Pelican Cove, Sarasota.
She was born July 14, 1937, in Fargo, N.D., and worked several years as a dental assistant with her husband in the family dental practice in Duluth, Minn. She studied vocal music and interior design at the University of Minnesota in Duluth and had worked for Mabel Mayhall Interior Design Studio in Duluth.
She was a volunteer with the Junior League of Duluth, Polinski Rehabilitation Center, the Public Broadcasting Center and TV Duluth. She was a member and in the choir of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Duluth, and a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Tower, Minn., and St. Boniface Episcopal Church, Sarasota.
Survivors include her husband or 44 years, Vernon; sons Brock of Duluth, Brett of Bradenton, and Blake of Maple Grove, Minn.; a daughter, Brook A. Silva of Greensboro, N.C.; and three grandsons.
Visitation will be from 11-noon Monday at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home, Sarasota. A service will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Boniface Episcopal Church. A memorial service and final burial will be in the spring in Duluth. Memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Music Fund of St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 5615 Midnight Pass Road, Sarasota, FL 34242; or a favorite charity.
