Deceased Name: INESS LUVINA ALLEE
Iness Luvina Allee, 95, longtime resident of Duluth, while at home, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Iness was born in Iowa on Oct. 8, 1914 to Arthur and Mahala (Woolery) Collison.

As a young child her family moved by covered wagon to Opstead, Minn., where she was raised. On Feb. 3, 1937 Iness was united in marriage to Ernest E. Allee and they were married for 72 years. They resided in Motley, Minn., until moving to Duluth in 1963. In Duluth she performed day work for the Hartley and Whitney families for many years. Beginning at age 81 and for the next 11 years Iness worked for her daughter and son-in-law at the Skywalk Express.

Iness was a very active and dedicated member of Alliance Community Church. She found great comfort in serving others through her church and worldwide missions. Iness was a talented baker and cook who provided many meals to the church and her family. She also was an active volunteer for Awana Group until 92 years of age and was involved with the Gideon's Women's Auxiliary.

Her heart was in her own personal ministry making quilts for the Union Gospel Mission and the Salvation Army.

Iness loved crocheting, knitting and quilting for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed participating in craft sales.

Iness is preceded in death by her husband; sons, Albert and Leonard and daughter, Dorothy Moneta.

She is survived by children, Laura Lee, Elnora Gulbranson of Duluth, Richard (Juanita) Allee of Wayzata, Minn., Ruth (Bob) McCauley of Duluth; daughter-in-law, Janet Allee of Baxter, Minn.; 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and sister, Marie Allee of Motley.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 in Bell Brothers Funeral Home 601 N. 56th Ave. W. Duluth and again one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 in Alliance Community Church 2621 West Arrowhead Rd. Duluth. Interment will be at Oneota Cemetery.
