Arne J. Anderson, 91, a longtime resident of Duluth, passed away Sept. 20, 2011, in Cerenity Care Center in White Bear Lake, Minn., after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Arne was born in Duluth May 5, 1920. He worked as an electrician for the DM&IR Railway for over 30 years and was a member of the IBEW.

Arne was a longtime member of Our Saviors Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Agnes, Harriet, Margaret, Florence and Eleanor.

Arne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mae; children Mary Anderson of Shoreview, Minn., Mark Anderson of Winter Park, Fla., and Julie (Tony) Luczak of Lino Lakes, Minn.; grandchildren Jeremy and Ally Anderson and Eric, Sara and Amy Luczak; great-grandson Skyler; brothers-in–law Robert Gunderson and Donald Selenski; and many other family members and friends.

VISITATION: 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 24, in Our Saviors Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave. Interment will be held at Oneota Cemetery.
