Services are set for 2 p. m. Monday, April 12, at the Federated Church for Lucia Margrethe Adams, 90, Fergus Falls. Rev. William Sebring will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She died Thursday, April 8, at Lake Region Hospital.
The daughter of John and Catherine Anne (Bohlke) Lauritzen, she was born in Fergus Falls on April 24,1891. Upon completing school in Fergus Falls she entered the University of Minnesota, graduating Phi Beta Kappa from there in 1913. She taught school in Sauk Center for a short time before working foi the League of Women Voters in Minneapolis and later for the Lauritzen Construction Co of Fergus Falls. On Jan. 1, 1921, she married Samuel Philip Adams of Fergus Falls. The couple resided here. Mr Adams died April 2,1979.
She was a lifelong member of the Federated Church and served on the library board and on the board of Lake Region Hospital for many years. She was also a member of the Woman's Club and P.E.O.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Anne) Hage, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Douglas (Lucy) Johnson, Hilton Head Island, S.C.; a son, Samuel Philip Jr., Fergus Falls; nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
There will be no public visitation. Memorials to Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls Public Library or the Federated Church are preferred. Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
