Albert Paul Daniels, 74, of Bemidji, died Monday, Nov. 24, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo. Funeral services were at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Northern Township.
He was born July 29, 1923, in Superior, Wis., the son of Paul and Lena (Levens) Daniels. He grew up and attended school in Remer. He worked in the harvest fields in North Dakota, then served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.
After he was discharged from the service he returned to Remer where he married Grace Godfrey on May 4, 1946. They lived in Remer where he farmed. They moved to Hibbing where he worked in the iron mines, then returned to Remer where he continued to farm. He and his wife owned and operated a truck for hauling over the road. In 1960, they moved to Bemidji where he worked for the city of Bemidji for 18 years, retiring because of illness. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and doing wood-working projects.
Survivors include his wife: three sons, Les Daniels of Bemidji, Ron (Sue) Daniels of Tupelo, Miss., Bruce (JoAnne) Daniels of Bemidji: his mother: two brothers, Clarence (Maude) Daniels of Sioux Falls and Junior (Marilyn) Daniels of Remer: one sister, Norene Bartell of Remer: four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Ernest and John.
