Grant Co. [Minnesota] Herald, March 19, 1903:
Died Out West.
Olous Christopherson, An Old Settler in Grant County, Dies at Whatcom, Wash.
Word was received here Sunday by Amund Christopherson that his brother, Olous Christopherson, had died at Whatcom, Wash., and that the remains would be sent here for interment. The sad news was not unexpected, the deceased having been in poor health for some time.
Olous Christopherson came to Grant county in 1879, settling in the town of Lien. A few years ago his wife died, and about a year ago deceased went to Washington to make his home with his children who lived there. He was a quiet, industrious man, who enjoyed the friendship and good will of all who knew him. He was 72 years old at the time of his death, and leaves the following children:
Mrs. Partoll, Chris. Christopherson and Mrs. Stolpstad of Whatcom, Wash., Lauris Christopherson of Carpio, N.D., Mrs. Ed. Huset of Fergus Falls, Mrs. Hendrickson of Hofflund, N.D., Mrs. Moffatt of Pollutia, Wash., Mrs. Albee of Missoula, Mont., Mrs. A. R. Albretson of New Paynesville, and Gust and Ole Christopherson of Lien.
The remains of deceased were expected on yesterday's Great Northern train, but for some reason unknown did not come. Consequently the funeral arrangements have not been made as the HERALD goes to press.
