Andrew T. Anderson, the son of Thomas Anderson and Anna Rebne Anderson, was born on September 4, 1877. He was baptized and confirmed in the Little Cedar Lutheran Church of Adams. He operated an implement business at Elkton, Minnesota, from 1910 to 1936. Since 1936 he has been employed in various ways, mostly hiring out by the day.
For the past three years, he has been a patient at the Raymond Rest Home in Austin. He entered St. Olaf Hospital on January 12th and passed away at the hospital on Friday, January 18, 1957, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 14 days.
He is survived by one brother, and four sisters as follows: Carl Anderson of Mason City, Iowa; Mrs. Lena Hanson, of Elkton, Minnesota; Mrs. Anna Wilbrecht of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Julia Wilbrecht of San Bernardino, California; and Miss Alma Anderson of Washington, D.C. There are twenty nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Martz Funeral Home, Leroy, and the Little Cedar Lutheran Church of Adams, Minnesota, Rev. M.L. Witte , officiating. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Donald Larson, organist, and Rev. Witte who sang, "Guide Me Oh Thou Great Jehovah," and "Just As I Am." Burial was in the family lot of the Little Cedar Cemetery. The Mary Society of the Marshall Lutheran Church served lunch to relatives and friends following the service. Pallbearers were Oscar Anderson, Lee Hamilton, Frank Klaehn, Arthur Peterson, Alvin Proechel, and William Wohlers.
