Mabel B. Busselman, 81, Pipestone, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at Good Samaritan Communities, Pipestone.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26 at 11 a.m. at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Pipestone, with Don Scribner officiating.
Pallbearers will be David and Paul Busselman, Dennis Miller, Ronnie and Buddy Biegler and Lester Bauer.
Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson.
Mabel Busselman was born Dec. 27, 1923 on a farm near Bushnell, S.D. to Theodore and Bertha Stuefen Bebensee. She grew up on farms in the Bushnell and Elkton, S.D. area and attended Country School District #54 near Bushnell.
She married William Busselman on Jan. 4, 1942 at her parents' home in Elkton, S.D. Following their marriage, they lived in Lake Wilson and Mabel worked at various jobs including the Lake Wilson Cafe for 28 years, the Mint Cafe in Slayton and the canning factory in Pipestone.
Bill died Dec. 27, 1993. Mabel continued living in Lake Wilson until March 2004 when she moved to Nokomis Apartments in Pipestone.
She was a member of Jehovah Witness in Pipestone; served as den mother for the boy Scouts and in Music Mothers.
She is survived by one son, Darwin (Karen) Busselman, Prior Lake; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, sisters, Verna Smith and Mildred Youngmon and a brother, John Bebensee.
