Leroy A. Ginn, 74, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Slayton.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Totzke Funeral Home, Slayton, with Rev. Jon Marburger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson.
Leroy Ginn was born on Aug. 28, 1935 on the family farm in Lowville Township, Murray County to Harold and Linda Gudmundson Ginn. He grew up on the family farm and attended District #72 Country School and graduated from Lake Wilson High School in 1953. Following high school Leroy farmed with his father. He was a member of the Pipestone National Guard from 1953 to 1962.
In 1967 he moved to Baton Rouge, La., and worked for Allied Chemical Company. In October 1971 he moved to Morris, Ill., and worked at Northern Petro Chemical. In 1987 he returned to the family farm near Lake Wilson to care for his mother, Linda.
In March 2009 he became a resident of the Golden Living Center, Slayton.
He attended the United Methodist Church in Lake Wilson.
He is survived by one sister, Loretta Erickson, Lake Wilson and one brother, Chester (Idalia) Ginn, Slayton.
He was preceded in death by one infant brother, Donald Ginn; one sister, Phyllis Pickering and her husband, John, and one brother-in-law, Earl Erickson.
