LARRY ALBERT BONNSTETTER, 58, of Slayton, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at Murray County Hospital, Slayton.

Born May 11, 1948, in Whittemore, Iowa, he was the son of Anton "Tony" and Sophie Norvellis Bonnstetter. He married Julie Larson on Aug. 11, 1984, in Hadley.

He grew up near West Bend, Iowa, and attended country school. He later moved his family to a farm north of Slayton. He attended country school near Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1966. On Nov. 15, 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge on Nov. 13, 1970, he returned to live and work in Minneapolis. In 1972, he returned to Slayton to live and farm. After marriage, they lived on the farm.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Lance (Abby) Larson, Fayetteville, N.C.; three daughters, Angela Bonnstetter, Lake Park, Iowa, Olivia (fiancé Ben Lewis) Bonnstetter, Slayton, and Nicole Bonnstetter, Slayton; his mother, Slayton; three brothers, Russ (Jean) Bonnstetter, Jeff (Rhonda) Bonnstetter, and Tony (Sue) Bonnstetter, all of Slayton; two sisters, Donna (Keith) Johnson and Barb (Paul) Nepp, all of Slayton; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Hadley Lutheran Church.

The service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Hadley Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kerry Bose officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Cemetery, Hadley.
