George F. Larson, pioneer resident of North Ottawa township, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Fergus Falls Friday morning, October 2, 1942, at 9:30 o'clock. Death was caused from complications arising from diabetis. He had been ill for about a month.
George Larson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Larson, was born in Sweden April 23, 1873, and was 69 years 5 months and 9 days old at the time of his death. He came to America when he was twelve years old and lived in North Ottawa township until four years ago when he moved to Wendell where he has resided since.
On January 3, 1906 he was united in marriage to Ida M. Jacobson at Red Wing.
Mr. Larson was a member of the Church of God at Hereford. He was of a kind and generous nature, a good citizen, and will be missed by his family and community.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter and three sons, namely, Mrs. Chas. E. Ellison of Elbow Lake township, F. Herbert Larson, G. Norman Larson and Raymond Larson of North Ottawa township; seven grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers, Chas. L. Larson of Ashby, Ray, Oscar and John H. Larson of Highland Park, Ill.
Funeral services were held at the Larson home and at the Church of God at Hereford on Tuesday. Rev. H. S. Smith of Montevideo conducted the services. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
