In 1870 the value of property that Enfred owned was $2,000. Not known when he purchased the land that Helm Pioneer Cemetery is on, but it is still owned by the Shultz family.
~~
Helm Pioneer Cemetery is on land originally owned by Henry Helm and later sold to Frederick Enfred Shultz. (Part of the land was sold to Jacob Stengelin, which was sold back to the Shultz family many, many years later). Family folklore says: Henry Helm was an old friend of Enfred's. Henry was "like family", working for Enfred and living with the family. Henry Helm was the first one buried there, and the stone monument was purchased by Enfred with funds that Henry provided (as stated in his last will and testament).
