Judith Simonson and Amund Amundson were married March 26, 1921 in Pope County, Minnesota. Judith died in Lakeshore Lutheran Home in Duluth. She was a graduate of Agricultural School in Morris, Minnesota. She lived in Hancock, Minnesota until 1928 when she moved to Jessie Lake. She was a logging camp cook near Craigville for four years. In 1977 she moved to Deer River and then to Duluth in 1990. She was a member of the Jessie Lake Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aide and served as the church organist for 50 years. Her husband Amund, died in 1971; an infant son, Peter died in 1925; and a daughter Margaret died in 1935. Survivors include a daughter, Delores Pohjola of Duluth, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial will be in the spring.
