Fredericka [Westphal] is the third of eight children born to Christian Lange (1825 Prussia - bet 1895-1900 ) and Caroline Walter (1830 Prussia -betw 1880-1885 ). She married Edward Otto Westphal (1859 Prussia -1920 MN) on 3 Apr 1882 in Maple Grove Twp, Hennepin, Minnesota. To this union were born 10 children: Anna W (1883-1889), Caroline Emilie (1885-1968), Emil J. (1886-1889), Christian A. (1888-1889), Frederick Wiliam (1890-1977), Gottlieb Lewis (1892-1918), Vera (1895-?), Veronika (1895-1985), John M. (1897-1898), Emma M (1898-1979), and Evelyn Esther (1901-1921).
