| Birth: | Oct. 23, 1921 Calexico Imperial County California, USA | | Death: | Mar. 23, 2010 |  A Mass of Christian Burial was said on Wednesday, March 31, at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Ralph Ramirez Ayala, 91, of Lindsay, who passed away March 23. The Reverend Kenneth Bozzo officiated and interment followed at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery.
Ralph was born October 23, 1921, in Calexico, California, to Antonio and Mercy Ayala. He came to Tulare County a few years later as a child.
Ralph worked as a fire fighter for the California Department of Forestry for many years. He enjoyed working, period.
He liked fishing, traveling and he was an avid recycler. He loved Lindsay and worked hard to make it a better place.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Catalina Ayala; his brothers, Oscar Ayala, Tony Ayala and Rudy Ayala.
He is survived by his brothers, Frank Ayala and Rufino Ayala; and his sister, Francis Ayala; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A short time of visitation was held on Wednesday, March 31, from 8:00 until 9:30 A.M. at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home in Lindsay.
