Graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, March 4 at 10:00 A.M. at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery for Barbara Benetiz Arias, 67 of Porterville and formerly of Lindsay who passed away February 28, 2011. The Reverend Kenneth Bozzo will officiate.
Barbara was born April 7, 1943 in Tucson, Arizona to Joe and Amelia Quintana and after coming to southern California as a small child, was raised and attended school in the San Pedro area. She married Larry Arias in December of 1973 in Visalia and the Arias family decided to call Lindsay their home. For the last twelve years Barbara had worked for and recently retired from the County of Tulare as an office assistant and she was looking forward to traveling and spending more time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, shopping and traveling and of course being with family. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Larry Arias in 2009 and by her parents Joe and Molly Quintana. She is survived by her children Belinda Ainsworth of Porterville; Joe Romero of Lindsay; David Romero of Visalia; Barbara Ruf of Porterville and Paula Arias Munoz of Lindsay; her brother Larry Quintana of Los Angeles; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
