Mary was the daughter of Roger and Esther (Ladd) Baker. She moved with her family to the Waukenabo area at the age of one. She attended the Waukenabo School. She then worked for a time in Cloquet. She also played guitar and sang at dances in her younger days. She married Chester Seibert on March 21, 1946, at Aitkin. They lived in Buffalo for a short time and then moved to Aitkin where they raised their family. Mary had worked at the Aitkin Community Hospital in the Late 1970s and early 1980s. She had lived in Palisade from 2001 to 2006 and then moved back to Aitkin. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, crossword puzzles and had been a member of the Rossburg Bible Study Club. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and dedicated much of her time to them.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Raymond (Mary) Seibert, Isle; Glen (Judy) Seibert, Cohasset; Greg (Darlene) Seibert, Aitkin; Randy (Wendy) Seibert, Medford, Ore.; William (Beth) Seibert, Wadena; and Henry Seibert, Aitkin; daughters and their spouses, Sally Anderson, Brainerd; Judy (Russell) Ellis, Bertha; and Connie (Steve) Mostad, Chisholm; sister and brother-in-law, Dorie (Ellsworth) Semler, Iron Mountain, Mich.; special friend Albert "AB" Halgrimson, Palisade; 31 grandchildren; over 40 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Esther Baker; husband, Chester Seibert; daughters, Bonnie Seibert and Lori Seibert; and son-in-law, Dale Anderson.

Funeral services will be held from the Hilltop Chapel near Palisade. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Kimberly Township of Aitkin County.
