She was united in marriage to George O. Henry on October 14th, 1944 after meeting him while working as a waitress at a local café. She fell in love after he "sang for his supper" and they were married and enjoyed their time together for the next 41 years. They had resided for a period of time in the Northern Minnesota towns of Red Lake and Pengilly before settling on a farmstead near Downer, Minnesota. This is where Ann Marie's 3 children, Linda, Shelley, and James Henry were raised.

Ann Marie and George's life revolved around spending time with family, friends, and their love of music. Together they were very musically inclined and enjoyed singing duets and played piano for many events and gatherings.

Friends and family were an important part of Ann Marie's life and she enjoyed entertaining at their home and lake cabin. Everyone was welcome. When she wasn't entertaining she was traveling to visit others. Several winters were spent in Texas and attending Air Stream Rallies. Ann Marie's hobbies include reading, dancing, swimming, skiing, traveling, playing cards, singing, playing piano, and the challenge of a good horse shoe game.

In 1986, her beloved husband, George, passed away. In 1989 she married Max Randall of Lidgerwood, North Dakota. In 2002 she became a resident at the St. Gerard Nursing Home in Hankinson, North Dakota, suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
