Charles Benjamin Accatino passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Roseville, CA at the age of ninety-five.
Charles was born in Oakland, CA, where he spent his youth. He was a longtime Walnut Creek resident.
Charles was a lifelong machinist contributing his talent and skills to several companies in the aerospace and defense industries. He enjoyed spending time with his family foremost, and also gardening, traveling, reading, and baseball.
Charles was the beloved father of Karen R. (Bob) Curtis of Carmichael, Steven (Carolyn) Accatino of Concord, and Mark (Maggie) Accatino of Livermore; dear grandfather of eleven; and proud great-grandfather of two. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Ruth Evelyn Accatino, in 1998.
A memorial service is pending at a later date. Entombment at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette is private. Published in the Contra Costa Times on June 12, 2011.
