A Sweet Little Child Passes Away.
Mr. and Mrs. William Swanbro's
little girl, Elizabeth Ann, aged 13
months 9 days, died last Saturday
morning at 2 o'clock. Death was
due to ran ailment of the stomach
which followed an attack of pneu-
monia.The following was contiib-
uted by and published at the re-
quest of Rev. Service.
"Tender hands and kind physicians
did all they could to save the little
one, but the Kind Shepherd came
and took her to Himself. She was
an unusually bright child and will
be missed though all the days and
weeks and years that are to come.
Children are their parents' priceless
treasures. When God takes them to
heaven, they lose nothing of their
value. And they are still ours.
They are safe with him forever.
Hereafter heaven holds a treasure
for us. We will find our treasure
by and by.
"On Sunday, January 18, her funeral
sermon was preached by Rev. Service
at the Methodist church at 2 p.m.
from the following text - Isa. 40-11,
'He shall gather the lambs with
His arms, and carry them to his
bosom. The Methodist quartet rendered
two beautiful selections and
Mrs. Clair Caley rendered a solo
in her own matchless way, entitled,
'I Think, When I Read the Sweet
Story of Old.' When Jesus was here
among men, how He took little
children as lambs into His arms;
I should like to have been with Him
"A large congregation attended
the funeral service. The profusion
of flowers was beautiful. At the
close of the service the procession
wended its way to the family ceme-
tery at Spencer Brook, where the
little one was laid beside her grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs Clough.
"The parents have the sympathy
of the community."
