Ernest Coyle, 62, rural Bagley, died on Friday, October 30, 1992, at his home in Shevlin Township.
Ernest was born May 31, 1930, in Westerheim, North Dakota, to George and Josie Coyle. In 1936 he moved with his family to Bagley. In 1952 Ernest served in the U.S. Army in Korea being discharged in 1955. He married Charlotte Halverson on March 26, 1961, in South Dakota. Ernest worked at the Bagley Peeler and Nelson Eggs. He also farmed for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; three daughters, Carol (Mrs. Darrell) Pierce of Virginia, Minnesota; Faye (Mrs. William) Ostenberg of Holiday, Florida, Rhonda Coyle of Livermore Falls, Maine; five sons, Lyle of Puyallup, Washington, Merle of Mechanic Falls, Maine; Robert, Roland and Ernest Jr., all of Bagley; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Doris (Mrs. Ralph) Ellis of Bagley, Emma (Fred) Halverson of Shevlin, Etta (Mrs. Arlan) Halverson of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, and Delores (Mrs. Buzz) Olson of Sentinel Butte, North Dakota, two brothers, Roy and Otto, both of Bagley.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Clearwater Lutheran Church in Shevlin with Pastor Terri Cuppett officiating. Interment will be at the Clearwater Lutheran Cemetery at Shevlin. Full military rites will be accorded by the Irvin Blix American Legion Post of Bagley. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the Cease Funeral Home in Bagley.
