Mrs. Farrell, 91, a homemaker and former teacher, died Wednesday (May 15, 1996) at her home.
Mary F. Callan was born Jan. 15, 1905, in rural Fountain and graduated from Preston High School in 1923. She graduated from St. Teresa's College in Winona in 1928 and then taught at Fountain Elementary School for five years. On June 20, 1934, she married Philip J. Farrell at St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church in Fountain. Her husband was a rural mail carrier. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Farrell was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Farrell of Rochester; and a sister, Allene Callon of Rochester. A son preceded her in death.
Friends may call one-half hour before the service Friday at the church.
