Margaret "Meg" S. Fox, 68, of Cook, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Virginia Convalescent Center in Virginia.
Meg was born in Aurora, MN on October 9, 1939, to Harold and Toyne (Kangas) Leiviska. She lived in Aurora until she was 4 then moved with her family to Finntown in Virginia, and graduated from Virginia High School in 1957.
She completed a 2 year course of Medical Records in Minneapolis before moving to Sand Lake-Britt area where she lived for many years. She was employed in medical records department at the Lenont-Peterson Clinic and East Range Clinic both in Virginia, then for the Cook Clinic and Hospital for over 25 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an avid reader. She loved animals, being in the outdoors, gardening with her flowers, and the family fondly recalls her as a "sun-worshipper". She also enjoyed hunting- especially deer hunting, fishing, camping and going for rides "bumming" around local sites. She always had a smile on her face and was a truly positive person.
She is survived by her best friend and loving significant other of over 20 years, Glen Seopa of Cook; a son Farley (Tammy) Fox of Britt; a daughter Lacy (Rick) Grivette of Virginia, step sons Todd (Dawn) Seopa of Bemidji, Dean Seopa of Side Lake; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her loving pet dog Sammy and many "grand dogs".
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Luella Leiviska and 1 daughter Faith Fox in 9 months of infancy.
Arrangements by Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook.
Interment will be in the Carpenter Cemetery in Togo.
