Margie Mae Schulke, 78, of Almora, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at her residence as a result of the tornado. She was born June 20, 1931, in Wood Side Township, Henning, the daughter of Otto Albert and Mildred Faye (Hendershot) Moske.

Margie worked at Peterson Denick in Wadena, Herfendalls of Battle Lake, the Pine Haven Nite Club, Henning Junction and the Federal Arsenal in St. Paul, making rifle shells during the war. She also worked at Finger Hunt of Alexandria and at Chet's Lake Side as a waitress. For 23 years, she worked as a caretaker at Elmwood Resort on Lake Mary near Alexandria.

She loved to cook and have her family and friends over as well as gardening and flowers.

She married Norman Schulke. The couple resided in Almora.

Preceding her in death were her father, Otto Albert Moske; brother, Marvin Moske of Parkers Prairie and son Cory Schulke of Alexandria.

Survivors include her mother, Mildred Mae Moske; three daughters, Catherine (Rich) Hawes of Parkers Prairie, Connie (Moats) Flugle of Neddle Vill, Texas and Kristy (Noland) Hanson of Cushing; three sons David (Karen) Moats Jr. of Hewitt, Steve (Elan) Schulke of Alexandria and Mark Schulke of Almora; a sister, Bonnie (Raymond) Anderson of Lake Ida and brother, Larry (Joanne) Moske of Parkers Prairie; 17 grandchildren, Travis, Jamie, Amy, Cassandra, Cody, Ashley, Darrel, Angela, David, Derek, Brian, Amanda, Dallas, Alisha, Faith, Heidi, and Brittney; 18 great grandchildren Matthew, Brandon, Madyson, Bradley, Aiden, Star, Nevaeh, Hunter, Tanner, Jayden, Ashia, McKayla, Abbigail, Jason, Russell, Cassandra, Brendon and Theresa,; her dear friend, Charlotte Hjelm of Lake Irene who was like a sister to her along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church

Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Parkers Prairie

Officiating: Reverend Kirk Lee

Interment: Carlos Cemetery, Carlos Prairie, MN
