Alice Greeley, 90, of Litchfield died on Sunday, Oct. 10, at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Litchfield. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
Alice Caroline (Wendroth) Greeley was born on Sept. 9, 1920, to George and Ida (Schultz) Wendroth in Meeker County. She attended country school through the eighth grade.
Alice met and fell in love with Jarvis Greeley. They were married on July 2, 1939, at the church parsonage in Hutchinson. This union was blessed with five children: Karen, Clarice, Lois, Willis, and Willard.
Alice and Jarvis had a farm in the Paynesville area, where they raised their children.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Lois (James) Patten of Cloquet; sons, Willis (Sharon) Greeley of Hutchinson and Willard (Karen) Greeley of New London; two sons-in-law; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Harold Wendroth of Litchfield.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvis; parents; two daughters, Karen Wendroth and Clarice Midtling; and one granddaughter.
