Esther Elsa Anderson, 91, of Carlton died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2010 in Villa Vista Care Center. She was born March 17, 1919 in Wright to Oscar and Olga (Nestor) Anderson. She moved to Duluth and worked as a housekeeper and nanny throughout high school, graduating from Denfeld High School in 1939. Esther married John Dearborn in 1947. After his death in 1949, she worked at Klearflax Rug Factory and Western Electric in Duluth. She moved to Cloquet where she worked at Diamond Match and Northwest Paper. In 1973 Esther married Marvin Anderson and together they ran the Anderson dairy farm for the next 13 years. Then they enjoyed gardening and going to the farmer's market in Scanlon every weekend. In 2006, Esther moved to Villa Vista Care Center.
Esther was preceded in death by her two husbands, John Dearborn and Marvin Anderson; three brothers, Oliver, Axel, and Evert Anderson; and one sister, Linnea Albright.
She is survived by her son, Terry Dearborn of Carlton; one brother George Anderson of Carlton; three grandchildren, Angela (Jude) Tardy of Bangor, Maine, Benji (Pam) Dearborn and Ethan Dearborn both of Carlton; three great grandchildren, Nathan and Adam Tardy, and Macy Dearborn; her life-long friend, Alice Chalman of Rice Lake, Wisc.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Burial was in Atkinson Cemetery
