After 7 years in Pelican Rapids, he applied and was accepted as a government meat inspector (USDA) in Omaha, Nebraska. They made their residence in Omaha, Nebraska for many years and faithfully served at Southside Baptist Church which later became Center Baptist Church. After retirement from the government, because Stanley had served the Lord all his life, he and Ethel wanted to continue serving the Lord into their retirement so became volunteers for RVICS (Roving Volunteers in Christ Service) for 8 years. After RVICS, they settled in Mesa, Arizona. Ethel passed away in 1995. He then married Irene (Molander) MacIver of Starbuck, MN in 1998.
