Marvel B Bowen, 40, a resident of Rock county for about 30 years was found dead by his brother, Earl, of Ellsworth, at the latter's home Monday afternoon. Coroner Kilbride of Worthington, conducted a post mortem examination here Tuesday, but reported that the exact cause of death will not be determined until after an analysis of the stomach contents is made by the state.

Bowen, who had been employed as a carpenter at Miami, Okla., had spent the past two weeks visiting with his brother in Ellsworth, and with other relatives in this area.

Funeral services were held from the Smith Funeral Chapel Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Kanaranzi cemetery. Dr. David J. Eastburn of the First Methodist church here officiated. Pallbearers were Albert Christensen, Charles Soutar, George A. Soutar, Walter Yeager, Harm Smook and Henry Untiedt.

Born at Kanranzi, July 20, 1903, he had spent nearly all of his life in Rock county. He was a carpenter by trade.
